The Breast Cancer Survivors' Network (BCSN) 7th Annual Breast Cancer 1-Day Walk/Run was well attended by Hoshizaki America, Inc. staff and family as part of Team: Cyndi's Breast Friends. Their contributions and fundraising efforts totaled over $6,000 and were awarded 1st Place Team Fundraiser. Funds raised go directly to The Breast Cancer Survivors' Network, Inc. located in Peachtree City, a Georgia 501 (c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-based organization. It is Georgia's largest network of Breast Cancer Support Groups and the proceeds provide for FREE programs, services, and supplies for local breast cancer patients, as well as community education of Georgia residents.

HOSHIZAKI has just released Overshelves for Commercial Series undercounters, worktops, sandwich preps and mega-tops. The single or double overshelf kits are simple to install on 27", 48", 60" or 72" door or drawer cabinets.
“Ice is such a crucial ingredient in a great drink, yet I think it gets overlooked way more than people think,” says Ori Geshury, director of education at the Aqua Vitae Institute in Philadelphia. “It’s an investment in the performance of a machine that works all day, and it’s an investment in your beverages.” Geshury advises operators to research and test their beverage menus thoroughly before shopping for ice machines. That way operators know their desired outcome and can better “think and taste through” experiments using a wide range of ice.
“When you’ve got a chain operator cooking 200 burgers an hour, they need drawers under the grill,” says Bauer. “We’ve seen many high-volume operations that benefit from refrigeration located below open burners. Any of it can be configured to the chef’s heart’s content.”
