Under broad supervision, creates visual solutions to communicate company product and/or service offerings.  Develops design solutions for print, web, social media and promotional events.  Creates design ideas, advises on layout, typefaces, colors and styles for advertisements, publications, and presentations.


·         Designs and/or creates visual material for use in the organization’s advertisements, publications, pamphlets, posters, packages, labels, and other promotional materials.

·         Uses graphics software (e.g., Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and/or web-based graphics and design tools (e.g., Flash, FrontPage and Dream Weaver) to design and produce finished artwork.

·         Gathers data from manages and subject matter experts to create presentations that effectively meet achieve objectives while adhering to established brand guidelines.

·         Works closely with distribution centers and sales teams to conceptualize and develop creative marketing campaigns. Determines the appropriate size, layout, arrangement and style of illustrative material and copy.

·         Contributes to the ongoing development of the company’s visual brand identity.

·         Maintains archives of images, photos, or previous work products.

·         Coordinates in-house & outside vendor services.

·         Assists with website design projects as needed.


Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field and four years of graphic design experience.  Experience using a variety of graphics design presentation tools and applications, such as Photoshop, Quark, Illustrator, Freehand, Flash, Shockwave, Director, PowerPoint and Streamline.


·         Knowledge of current graphic design equipment, tools, and techniques

·         Ability to manage projects of varying size and complexity

·         Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple projects and timelines in a deadline-driven environment

·         Strong Microsoft Office skills

·         Highly visual, creative thinker with strong layout and design skills

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise.  Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.



·         Works predominantly on the manufacturing floor. May be exposed to heat, electrical and mechanical hazards, noise, solvents, dust, dirt, fumes, contaminants, cold, noise, vibration, etc.

·         Climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing and ability to move material weighing up to 40 lbs

·         Ability to perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on tools and equipment

·         Ability to use of hand tools, power tools, gas torches and measuring instruments

·         Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals and use measuring equipment

·         Requires standing for prolonged periods of time

·         Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

·         Must be able to walk and use hands

·         Ability to read, write, listen and speak


·         Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate

·         Requires standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time

·         Ability to lift boxes/materials weighing up to 10 lbs

·         Requires telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interactions with other employees and customers

·         Ability to read, write, listen and speak
